Having polka dots on your nails is synchronized and an easy step. Having dots in any order would be easier and that is what you are going to do for these splat nails! All you will need is a few brush strokes and that’s all! Get ready with the required nail colors, a top coat, nail polish remover, scotch tape and a nail art brush to start with these designs.
Have your nail prepared for the nail art. Select a color for the base coat which should be light enough so that the other colors can be bright enough to highlight the design. White would be the most preferred color for the base but you can also choose any natural colors or even a transparent one to make it look simple.

Apply the base coat on your nails and let it dry. Take a while to let it dry completely and then you will approach to the fun part. Apply the scotch tape around you nails to keep it clean and so that you don’t have to clean much after the nail art is done. Try to cover the areas besides the edges though you may need to work on the lines later but you will not have to handle with lots of them.

To apply the splats, you can use the brushes from the nail polish bottle. Choose bright colors for the splats and keep a theme among them or follow a relevant shade to make it an adorable one. You can use more colors and have different sizes of the splats.

Choose the first nail color you want to have and then apply the strokes to make a non-perfect circle. Similarly, apply another circle in any random position. You can do more if you have small ones but if it is in medium size, try to keep fewer circles if you are using more colors. Once you are done with one color such as silver or any shiny shade, go for the next nail color.

When you are applying these splats, you have to give enough times to them so that they can get dry and take another layer of polish smoothly. Otherwise, you will end up with messy and smudged splat which will destroy the beauty of the random splat circles. Use two or more colors to combine for these splats.
Choosing the brightest or darkest color for the last one is a perfect choice so that it can end with a proper shade of nail color. After applying the final splats using the colors such as maroon, red or black; use a nail art brush to apply few dots randomly to give it a dripped look. Just make sure to give it a natural look instead of overdoing it.

When you are done with the splats, pull off the tape applied around your nails. Check the edges and use a nail polish remover to remove the excess nail polish. When you have cleared the outlines, apply a top coat on the nail art to seal the splats on your nail and make them stay longer.

That was really an easy nail art design which you could not have even imagined that how pretty it would look! It is just like you are checking out the paint when you are buying some new paints for your drawing. If you think splatter nails are too messy for you, then you can just stick into these splat nail arts and still have the design on your nail!
