DYI: Hair Removal Wax
Body Waxing is a must not only for a good appearance but first of all for a good and healthy hygiene. Depending on the hair thickness, body waxing is a procedure done usually every 2-4 weeks. Myself, I choose to do it every 2 weeks because my hair grows quite fast. However, as you may probably know body waxing are not very expensive, but when thinking of how many times you have to wax in a year, the numbers can go crazy.
Hair removal tools are gigantic business in the United States, and I am talking about Billion of dollars here. Why go out and boy the waxing material when you can easily create it on the comfort of your own home.
As I said the waxing is not expensive, but when you can make it home, cheaper-why not? It doesn’t take much time and the ingredients are easily found in any kitchen.
You will need: 1/4 Cup of Honey- 1 Cup of Sugar- Half a Lemon.
Method: In a microwavable safe container, mix all these ingredients together and put it on the microwavable for around 30 seconds, then stir it every few seconds so it doesn’t burn. Keep in mind that the mixture is not supposed to boil, so in case it begin to boil just low to heat.
After the mixture is ready, take it out from the microwavable and let it cool-be careful though, it might be very hot so keep it away until it is ready to be applied on your skin. Usually it takes around 15 minutes for the temperature to drop to a normal level. Then apply it in the desired area. With a wax rip or old t-shirt pres it down with one hand and with the other nicely pull your skin taut and pull off the fabric in a fast motion, opposite the direction of the hair growth. Apply the same technique in all your hairy areas. This mixture is easily washed with water and soap-in difference from the store waxing where I need to use different oil lotions, water, soap and then again oil, and still have my skin sticky.
Tip: In case the mixture is very watery when preparing it, just add more sugar to make it right.
